As some of the world’s best mountain bikers descended on Fort William, we made our way over to Nevis Range for this year’s UCI Mountain Bike World Cup 2011.

Saturday kicked off with some of the best 4-Cross racing Fort William has witnessed. Anneke Beerten from the Netherlands took the first factory of the day with Britons runner up, Joey Gough close on her heels. Roger Rinderknecht secured his World Cup title in the men’s final leaving David Graf settling for 2nd place.

On Sunday, the fans favourite Tracy Moseley won in the Women’s Downhill with runner up, fellow Brit Rachel Atherton. South African’s Gregg Minnaar was a favourite to win this year’s Men’s Downhill event, and as always, did not leave any of his fans disappointed ;) beating runner up Danny Hart in a spectacular final. I’m proud to say the South African flag, once again, waved high in the air at the final awards ceremony, what a way to finish yet another world class event!!
