Hannah Barnes’s awesome new website

Over the last few months, Chris & I teamed up with local mountain bike racer, Hannah Barnes to work on an awesome project for her. Hannah is a very talented athlete and although Hannah has tons of great sots of her competing, she lacked some cool lifestyle shots, showing her personality outside of racing.

This is where I stepped in… we started off on a very chilly winters afternoon to get some cool lifestyle shots of Hannah. Chris then put his creative hand to good use and designed an awesome little website for Hannah to keep her fans & sponsors up to date with what’s she’s up to, even when she’s competing and travelling around the world. Hannah has a great personality was loads of fun to work with -she kept on spoiling us with chocolate brownies and all sorts of sweet treats along the way (she LOVES good food). We’re defiantly going to have a massive baking session before she goes off racing for the summer

Aisling McGuire -Highland Dancing

Debbie & Del -1 Feb 2012

What a shoot to kick start our wedding season for 2012!! The big secret is out… Debbie & Del was our runaway bride & groom who decided to get married on snow… This energetic couple had no stop in them and truly enjoyed every minute of their wedding day. They only phoned up all their friends & family after the ceremony, to break the big news -half of which did not believe them, so here’s proof guys!

A massive thanks to all the staff at Nevis Range who made this day possible, especially Heather who pulled out all the stops, and Chris who gave us a lift in his fancy new groomer, all the way to the summit to get some cool shots of Debbie & Del. Here are a few highlights…

Li-Anri, Waldo & Liane

Happy 1st Birthday to a very sweet Liane. We hope you had a lovely day with lots of pressies.

I definitely ended my last shoot in South Africa on a high. Li-Anri, Waldo & Liane was a blast to work with. Liane was just starting to walk at this point and poor Li-Anri & Waldo not only had their hands full to fend off the curious ostriches away, but also keeping Liane from wondering off. The grass was so tall, how would you ever find her again?

I spent a bit longer than normal to get some night time shots with the full moon rising over the African bush. Unfortunately I still had to pack my bags for my flight back to Scotland, so eventually we had to call it a day. So sad to say goodbye to the Bushveld for another year. Elme, Ursinius & Josh

For those who think I went for a 6 week holiday in SA, you are partly right…. it was lovely to spend some time at home with my parents, but I also took the opportunity to photograph a few of my dearest friends agains some of the most beautiful backdrops South Africa’s bushveld have to offer. Keep an eye out over the next month for some of these shoots as I work my way through them.

Starting off, the beautiful Elme, Ursinius & Josh. Ursinius and Elme is getting married in October and we decided to do a engagement / family shoot in one. Whilst I took a few shots of Elme & Urs, Josh sucked up every bit of information he could about how to take photos. By the end of the session, he even took his own photo of his mom… I had a great time with the 3 of them. Marlette, Hendrik & Hendré

I forgot how hot the Bushveld summer sun can be… Luckely Karina and Jaco did not, and had loads of ice cold bottled water for their guests. I thought this was genius!! Despite the heat, Karina look fabulous in the “veld” with her elegant dress and headpiece. Jaco certainly couldn’t take his eyes off her. Here are a few highlights of their day…
